Our Soil

Our Superior Cannabis Soil is made from the finest blend of organic ingredients and specifically formulated to produce maximum growth, health and yields. We use sustainable, organic ingredients; including our own special blend compost that is loaded with growth-boosting microorganisms that plants thrive on! Our soil is rich with an abundance of trace minerals and bio-diversity not found in commercially produced products. In addition to our exceptional ingredients, what truly sets our soil apart is our process. Every batch of Stone Queen Organic soil is mixed by hand then cooked for a minimum of 30 days. The process of “cooking” allows the nutrients to break down into simpler forms thereby creating more accessible uptake for your plants. Plants grown in organic soil contain higher levels of nutrients, minerals, better flavor and aroma.

 Benefits of Our Soil:

  • Organisms remain in the soil so there is less chance of nutrient run off or waste

  • Slow release of nutrients protects the plants from overfeeding and burning

  • Formulated for optimal aeration and drainage

  • Organic soil deters pest infestations and inhibits pathogens

  • Organic nutrients stay in the soil for much longer than liquid /chemical nutrients

  • Organic soil improves and enhances flavor

  • Sustainable and environmentally friendly

  • All Organic-No Chemicals

  • Easy application-simply pour and grow!

Bat Guano is a plant superfood and if rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Guano also contains a complete range of micro-nutrients for overall healthy plant development.

Worm Cast is the natural by-product of the food digested by the worms therefore it is 100% organic and contains the main nutrients and trace minerals that are essential plant health and growth.

Kelp contains all of the major and minor plant nutrients, trace elements and antibiotic properties. In addition, kelp vitamins A and C, B12 and K and E group vitamins.

Lime provides a source of calcium and magnesium for plants. Lime also permits improved water penetration for acidic soils.

Mycorrhizae is a fungus that forms symbiotic relationships with your plants. The fungi colonize the root system the host plant which provides increased nutrient and water absorption.

Gypsum is calcium sulfate, a naturally occurring mineral. It assists in reducing sodium in the soil in addition to adding calcium which plays a very important role in plant growth and nutrition. Calcium helps to maintain chemical balance in the soil, reduces soil salinity, and improves water penetration and neutralizes cell acids.

Ideal for New Growers

Learning to grow marijuana can be an extremely intimidating and costly process for the first time grower, especially if you've decided to grow indoors! One of the biggest concerns new growers face is deciding on which grow medium to use. Cannabis requires specific nutrients and micro nutrients for growth and overall health. Relying on chemical nutrients can be very stressful and time consuming as the plant is completely dependent on the grower.

Stone Queen Organics has simplified this process by developing a soil so nutrient rich, you simply pour and grow! Two weeks after your seeds have sprouted, simply transplant into Diesel Fuel Organic Soil and watch your plants explode! You will not have to add any additional nutrients for the first several weeks of growth.

Tips for New Growers

STARTING FROM SEED:

Diesel Fuel is high in nutrients and therefore not recommended at full strength for starting seed. Seeds contain enough energy to sprout and get them through the first week of life. Marijuana seedlings are delicate at this stage and very susceptible to nutrient burn. It’s best to start your seeds using our Ignition Starter Soil and once ready for transpant, it can go directly in Diesel Fuel until finish.

If you are starting with clones, you can skip the Ignition and plant directly into Diesel Fuel.

Once your tap root reaches 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch long, plant in a small container with plenty of drainage.

If you start your cannabis plants in a relatively small container they will grow faster than they would in a larger container. This is because it's easier for a small cannabis plant roots to get the right mixture of air and water.

Fill the container with soil about ¾ of the way full. This will allow you to add more soil later if you need a bit of stem stability. Press a hole in the soil about ½ an inch deep with the end of a pencil and carefully place your seed in the hole with the tap root facing down. Gently cover seed with soil and slowly water until water begins to drain from bottom of the pot.

Planted seeds can take between 1-5 days to break soil. Once the plants have sprouted place under grow lights (check manufacturer recommendations for distance).

Start running an oscillating fan at low to medium speed on the spouts as soon as they break soil. This will help strengthen the stem.

Marijuana plants thrive in soil with a pH between about 5.5 and 6.5 but struggle when growing in soils outside of that pH range. As the soil gets further from the desired pH range, it becomes difficult, then impossible for marijuana plants to uptake certain important nutrients. This nutrient lockout not only deprives your plants of important nutrients which stall growth but leads to plant stress and eventually plant death.

Our soil has a pH between 5.9-6.3, however, it is also very important to check the pH of your water on a regular basis!

Growing cannabis can be a very stressful experience for new grower, but hang in there! There is no reward like harvesting your own crop of big, potent buds!

WHEN DO I TRANSPLANT?

We recommned to start your seedling in a small container, with diameter about the size of a Solo Cup. You will know it is time to transplant when your cannabis leaves are just beyond the edges of your container.  Ensure that you do not leave your plant in the small container for too long or it will eventually become root bound.
